Le Justicier is in Cerigaabo. He will certainly return to Hargeisa the coming days. PM him and arrange a meeting.

Don't forget to post the minutes of your meeting on Snet

@Marques...hmmm.

You're right. There isn't much. I find partying here is lame and full of a bunch of bleached out local ladies and '"fresh 2 tha death" guys.

If you were a girl, I'd take you to the nicest shops and where the prettiest clothes/accessories are, among other things I'd rather not say lol

But with male company, It'd have to only be restaurants/lounges - a few good Somali food, Indian and Ethio spots, or regular higher-end cafes. Driving around the city for site-seeing.
It's damn better then you guys sitting at someone's house chewing loll

Indeed Jaalle, he is. Hmmm.....

Did you travel to Awdal? I recall you mentioning that.

If you did, how is the road condition? Have you visited Camuud University? Zeylac is worth visiting. The historical mosque is great.

@Dervish, I think single meet-ups with opposite genders are more intimidating than a group appointment. Why? Even if one wants to be friends, the other may have different intentions. Also, the atmosphere is too focused on each other instead of a fun 'hey lets all be friends and get to know each other' theme.

I wouldn't meet one-on-one with a guy from here unless I was interested in more, and I imagine the same for the other.

@Marques, go and 'pipe' away lol

@Jaalle, Yes walaal I did. HORRIBLE ROADS from Hargeisa to Borama city limit. It took almost 3 hours to travel just over 150km. And the car sure took a beating. Roads that apparently Barre built, and have since not been maintained. Good job SLand.

Yes, I went to the University campus, we drove around a bit. It was strange, my dad was telling us how old and prestigious the university is, but it's a bunch of bungalow buildings that really look old - and not in that classy, old architecture type of way. It was definitely a blast from the past...on the way into the city my dad told us about army bases off the north side of the maid road. I forget the name, but they were underground bunkers and all of that. Scary and eerie to see the remnants of a once great nation, with military might and such strong presence.

Beautiful city though. We also took a detour on the way home to Wajale. Ugh hideous city. Couldn't wait to get back out!

That road killed one of the best SOmalis. Abdishakur Sheikh Cali Jawhar, a number of years back. What about from Djibouti? Is it as dangerous?

A visit to Zeylac is a must. It was the seat of islam and business from the middle ages. Baki, the capital of Awdal is beautiful, not many people live there. Camuud is still one of the best universities in Africa (certainly the best in the whole of SOmalia).

P.s. Did you see the TOG (dried river) of Tog wajaale?

AUN. I haven't been there yet, I doubt I will since my dad is not big on road trips. We saw a van full of young men who were killed that same day on our way back to Hargeisa.

Interesting. Thank you, sometimes it's nice to know the level of respect you should give an institution and it's graduates, if that makes sense lol

Whaaaat no, well, We did see a large stream in Borama, but I didn't see a river. Is it anywhere near the main road?

Hey girl .. that seems like a swanky idea I'm new here I'd probably just link up with ladies on the forum just cause they come off as more mature and down to earth. I don't know the guys but from what I can see and the PMs I've been getting let's just say I'd for my safety if I was around them.

I wouldn't have brought it up, but since you did: You displayed an inappropriate amount of stubborn idealism and an obvious disconnect with reality. And you tried to insult my character which was low of you (lol also very 'manly' btw). I foresee many more disagreements in the future where you take things to a personal level, so no. I'll keep my distance.

Xildiid, walaal, this is where I live and the thread point was for people to organize an evening with other Snetters in there respective cities. I don't mind going to Berbera though. That'd be fun.
