I boycotted Subway and as a result I made my first sandwich

I boycotted Subway because I don't agree with the little toppings they put on.
Extra pickles and extra hot peppers and extra southwest chipotle = 1 extra pickle, 1 extra hot pepper and an extra drop of Chipotle sauce.
I cant be bothered asking them to add even more. I want 10 extra pickles and 10 extra hot peppers and a waterfall of chipotle and it would take another 5 minutes for them to do it
After years of being annoyed, I finally cut them loose.
I decided it was time I made my own subs. So I went to the store, got all the toppings and the shredded steak/turkey, the sauces and dear heavens.
It was so delicious. Much better than Subway. Extra toppings and extra sauce makes a world of difference
Anyways this is my story of a boycott actually turning into something great. A boycott of mine that finally doesn't see me crawling back to a business on my knees

Lmao I know!
I just get angry and say "put more". One tip is "can you put them on the side", then they have to put pickles, olives into those little cookie bags and they won't put just 1 of each lol. I worked there as a teen. I can't stand the smell of that place anymore, Their bread has a very unnatural stink. Its good you stopped going.

I enjoyed your story AJ.
I stopped eating at subway a while ago. There was this Ethiopian server. It was around lunch time, there was a guy in front of me who added bacon into his sandwich, when it was my turn the server refused to take off her gloves, with her limited English she kept saying it's okay its okay. I got frustrated, then the manager showed up, and apologized. I refused to let her make my sandwich. The manager personally made my sandwich and put lots of extra. With two chocolate chip cookies and a soda for free.. I bet the server was fired as she should be.

I never understood the obsession with Subway runti, the stench that greets you at the door was enough to put me off of it. People tell me its the fresh bread they are baking ...fresh bread don't smell like that. Good for you Mr Johnson *applauds*

Loool I know what you mean, I remember in jigjiga after three months I was in the mood for American foods, so I went to a restaurant that advertised it. I got a hamburger that tasted like injeera, I couldn't finish it wallahi

*dead, miskeen....Yes I was never a great fan of chicken, but after not having it regularly anymore...gawd. And speaking of chickens, I want a damn omelette with cheese and mushrooms.
We went to Mansoor the other day and I had a burger with a thin slice of steak, a full spoon of mayo and the bottom of the bread was wet with the freshly washed plate. I wanted to cry.
Sometimes I sing 'strugglin' by K'naan. It helps offset my anger.
Also, at least when I eat my salads, I am never dissapointed. Leaves, tomatoes and boiled beets can't taste bad. I become disappointed when I want to go out lol

You reminded me of beets omg they add that to everything, the salad, the rice, and I don't eat beats. You just brought the image of my cousins teeth and mouth being discolored by the beets loool.
Ps why was it so purple?

I LOVE BEETS. They add life and excitement to my salads. Why are they purple? lmao I think that's just their nature my dear. Can't be avoided.
And I hope your cousin was under the age of 10, otherwise that's not cute! I remember when I was younger I use to take a slice and rub it on my lips for lipstick. loll the beauty childhood.
