Yes, I found out about this while I was playing around with my Gmail settings last week. I clicked on my location history and the sons of bitches had my every move on the map, wallahi I was shocked. I erased it all on the spot and disabled the function.

God forbid, if some of the people I know ever stumbled on a travel log of mine and asked questions...I would instantly google the local charter of rights for whatever passes as a plea against self-incrimination
You come home in a good mood and suddenly you are greeted with "I know what you did last night at x hotel". Dang it! "who snitched"?. Dog house here I come.

Apparently the FB chat app turns the cam and mic on while idle. I'm assuming if you are on a watch list for any reason, they who you're sitting with as well. Voice recognition is nothing new either. Retina scanners are probably in our screen regardless of whether or not we use the feature.

Big brother indeed. I feel like we will be in a dystopian NWO environment in our lifetime.

B. Facebook =/= The Government. Just because Facebook can see you're watching Game of Thrones doesn't mean the Gubbermint can.

Definitely, However while FB is not the gov, if the government asks for this information, they must give it, especially if you are suspected of illegal activity. Siri is not the only one who got someone in hot water. They ask your permission, but you can't use the ap without acceptance. Don't use the app you might say? For some people it's the only way to reach family, since phone calls can be very expensive.

Also, just because you may be able to afford to call any location on earth for as long as you need to (And I am quite sure you cannot), doesn't mean others have that luxury.

I obviously don't have evidence, that what paranoia is, speculation with many points leading one to believe that it is possible. I didn't say it IS happening or that I am being spied on right now (although I have no proof of yes or no).

You are fine to believe it does not happen (until proven otherwise) and I am free to believe it is possible (with evidence such as these links where I did not know they were storing information of where people may have been months ago). So while you want to continue to exercise debating, I have no interest, as neither of us have proof of what we are saying. The absence of proof in a world where hacking is done more and more, and privacy rights are being questioned is not definitive, but since you're so smart, you should know that
