Godane was a international jihadist he never liked somaliland system, but we shared one thing in common, he was not not unionist :lol: . in few years time somaliland will have godane beach, godane plates, godane cups, godane wells. muj godane is no different from muj lixle.

Godane was brought in as a neutral face of the Somali southern conflict. There is no way Alshabaab would have survived if the leadership went to any Hawiye/Darood sub clan, as Itixaad has come to show..

So the other commander in Al-Shabaab, Mukhtar Abu Zubayr, is also from Somaliland according to CNN. I wonder if he will take over as the new leader.
