New York Post comparing Sayyidka ra to Baghdadi

Postby JamalAddow » Sun Sep 07, 2014 2:39 pm

From 1911, having established their presence in Somaliland, the British faced a challenge from a jihadi movement led by another self-styled caliph, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, who had set up his caliphate in 1899 with the ambition to conquer first the Horn of Africa and later, God willing, the entire world.
So fighting against colonialism and slavery has become terrorism. This ayah applies 'Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad ) till you follow their religion.'

so many fallacies in that post.
british established their presence in a somali territory, naming it 'british-somaliland protectorate'.
the seyyid never called for a caliphate nor did he ever discussed conquering the world.
he was fighting against colonial powers, trying to liberate somali territories under british, italian, amhara control.

Correction. Mohammed Abdulle Hassan was slave trader.
