Calgary Stay Losing

Postby Lillaahiya » Mon Sep 08, 2014 10:23 pm

The first significant snowfall of the season is occurring. General snowfall accumulations of 5 cm are expected, however, greater accumulations are possible in some areas. Amounts approaching 15 to 20 cm have been reported in a few localities. Snowfall accumulations will vary significantly depending on surface type and snowfall intensity. Snow will taper off this evening in Calgary and overnight in Pincher Creek.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Meanwhile in the nation's capital, we had a high of 23C today :blessed:

Would you advice me to move to Calgary if I'm from a relatively hot country(UK) compared to Canada? Cuz it seems like Calgary has Arctic weather.

Calgary is actually a warm city. Their coldest month is January and the average January temperature is -0.9 degrees

It's just an unpredictable place. Snow could arrive in late August and it can be a sunny +20 in February. This is what happens when you live next to the mountains

That's one of the main reasons I'd choose Australia over Canada.
