Why not....their Somali waters? :?
Maybe a 50/50 split will be in our interest.

If you've got the power like Ethiopia, who lost a case about the border with Eritrea, you can just ignore it.
Somalia has no Navy, airforce or army.

Ethiopia is different Ethiopia has strong ties with the international community the isolated Eritrea is no match for Ethiopia diplomatically.
Somalia case is different if Somalia and hassan sheikh play their cards well and win the case. All they have to do is send Hawiye militia in the sea and terrorize the Kenyans and act like pirates , there is nothing the kenyans can do and the IC has no leg to stand on.

Dont they need it more than las qorey? Their sea is at risk of being taken over by kenyans and they place their defence in las qorey?

What logic is that?

Khalid....If Somalia win the case...no oil company can operate in the concessions.
They could sue any company that illegally operates in those waters.

Hodan......I don't know their motivations....maybe it's to portray the sea, as well as the land claimed by s/l, disputed territory.
They more or less won the airspace dispute.

the southerners are like a glorified isbarro.....they have nothing to offer the north except international legitimacy.
In return they want their cut.
