Right on, Oromo and Amxar are the same thing today. I'm sharing my genetic results with an Oromo from Arsi who are supposedly more "Pure" and he clusters in the middle of the few Amxaras I share with.

FYI..I think less than 25% of Somalis are pure Somali. I'm sharing with a lot of Somalis, some Ogaden, Isaaq, mj, Hawiye etc A typical pure Somali should have zero Omotic (Omotic are those pure looking folks in Southwest Ethiopia, everyone in Ethiopia has some blood from them, Oromos tend to be 20% Omotic at times

while Habashis are 15%) But a lot of us carry Omotic at like a 4-5% rate. Alxamdulliah I'm 0%

xabashash used to raid the Nilotics and assimilate them hence the same genetic make up if you take the the genetics of an Oromo from Showa and an Amhara from Showa they will most likely have the same results. With in the Xabashas Amhara have a bit of Bantu a bit of Oromo A bit of Agaw a bit of Argoba Amhara is not one groups its ethnicites with in a larger ethnic group the same with Oromo have allot of Omotic even the Borana share that the Afran qallows in Eastern Ethiopia and the Oromo Arse , The Same with Somali with in Somali there is India Hindi we dont like to admit but allot of words in our language are hindi and the Timo jileec is Hindi to , both the Amxar oromo are Timo adag. But you are right Somaal is not pure either there is Bantu Oromo Hindi and Xabashi Arab Afar.

If only OG were as much in number as the Oromo in kiilka Shanaad, they would raze Addis Ababa to the ground. The Oromo are a soft people. In Sha Allah they to will be free from Habesha rule.

Full ancestry testing is going to be common in the future, there should be an all

Lol How do you expect Pastoralists to beat agriculturalists in numbers? that's not going to ever happen. In the close future, the Habesh-Oromo will take over the Northern, western and Eastern Soomal while the south will be for the Bantus. Chinaman realistically speaking the Somali are the purest of the Horn of African groups, whatever admixture they possess is negligible if there is any at all.

I know this sounds like a Somali denizen of the Storm Front variety. Just stating the facts.

Lol A pure Somali should be a model profile genetically for Cushitics, that is true. But if you're saying that the majority of Somalis alive today fit that profile, I don't know what to tell you. From the results Iv'e seen on genetic ancestry sharing websites, I don't think so at all. I'll tell you what, Somalis who live from "Hawd-like" territories and ones where the sand tends to be Red-ish in colour usually come out the most representative (i.e the Non-Coastal, Non-Mountainous lands starting from Galguduud-Mudug to Hawd to Togdheer)

What I don't get is this confusion people from those parts you mentioned have? They often tell you they have Arab progeny even when that's a farce.

Unfortunately highland areas, specially in the Northwest tend to border the main agricultural highlands of Ethiopia (In fact one could say the Ethiopian Highlands essentially start in Borame). Bari and Sanaag aren't exactly the most isolated parts of Somaaliweyn, lets be honest...

The Nugaal Valley in Sool-Nugaal is an exception.

I've seen people from those places in the east telling me their great grandmother was Turkish and they were ebony without a hint of ivory. I had to hold in my laughter.

I'm Pure E-V32 North-Eastern Cushitic, I was one of the first Somalis to see what my genetic ancestry was like. You think I would be talking like this if I hadn't already?

I wasn't the least bit disappointed tbh. My "recent" Arabian (All Horners have very old roughly 7000 year old ME ancestry), Non-Horner African, European, Asian etc is Zero

I guess we are both the same then kkkk

Warsangeli and some coastal MJ's carry J1. Most of the rest tend to be E-V32 with some Ogadens being T-M184.

Shameful to admit but you told me to be honest. I'm sharing with some. In fact every Warsangeli carries J1 which is of Arabian Origin.

I don't know what the Ugaaslabe sub-clan carry, I would be interested to know, specially with their rumoured Indian ancestry and stuff....
