Tempting Eyes’ Ban To Be Enforced By Religious Police In SA

Postby Daff » Wed Nov 05, 2014 3:10 am

Saudi Arabia, the nation’s Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice announced yesterday that “tempting eyes” would be subject to veils if deemed inappropriate.

Sheikh Motlab al Nabet, spokesman of the Saudi Arabian committee, said in the announcement that, “The men of the committee will interfere to force women to cover their eyes, especially the tempting ones. We have the right to do so.”
The new ban on well-manufactured facial features is broad enough to lead to some inquiry on the definition of “tempting eyes.”

According to an unnamed journalist in Saudi Arabia, “tempting eyes” could possibly be defined with these stipulations: “Uncovered eyes with a nice shape and makeup. Or even without makeup, if they are beautiful, the woman will be in trouble.

If this is actually true, they might as well restrict every female in the country to her bedroom :snoop:

Isn't Saudi Arabia's Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice breaking a fundamental Islamic rule?

The one that says...Lower your gaze!

None of you are saudi so I fail to see how this impacts your daily lives. It's a messed up place but being from Somalia should sober most of you and teach you not to throw stones in glass houses. Last time I checked saudis weren't dying in tahriib to reach Somalia.
