So many people make a mockery out of marriage. Somalis divorce for the most pathetic of reasons, i have yet to meet a couple who divorced because of adultery. If more people treated them like the lepers they are, they would think a gazillion times before disposing of people as if they were qashin.

40k? i mean even if that money was nothing for him....i still wouldn't want to spend it on someone I'm married to for like...5 months. obviously they didn't like each other and just wanted to get the marriage part of life over with. was it an arranged marriage?

anyways maybe you can be his wingman and get him out there again, and get a female worth his time. also maybe you should tell him to date for a while before he gets married, other wise this is going to be an endless cycle of bad marriages.

also people shouldn't ever spend money they don't have....40K is not money to be throwing around. instead of spending half that amount on a one night wedding...save it for your kids colllege tuition...also do people really pay the elders of the tribe? i had no idea.

I heard of a guy who divorced his wife during the wedding. His mom was accused by her mom of doing something wrong and her mom told her daughter to make his mom apologize.

The man said absolutely not and the mother was about to fight the brides mother for even suggesting she apologize for a wrong she didnt do

Think of it as a business venture that went flop. You win some you lose some. He certainly didn't get a return on investment. However, what separates the winners from the losers is their ability to tackle adversity. It's not the end of the world. It shall soon pass.

Marriage should be about love, if the love is strong than everything will fall into place ! people want to put on a show for others, that is ok, I think it is normal and fun to have a party or some kind of memorable things happen. But I like my weddings like the way I like my movies, small budget, authentic, and masterpieces.

so he's depressed about the women leaving or about the money he lost? If it's the women, then he should go and marry another one real quick. If it's the money, he can get some of the money. Get the furniture , the t.v and re-sell them . That would make him forget at least

Tell him to learn from the mistake and move on. Both money and women can be replaced again but there is nothing terrible than losing one's mind. To lose it for 40k is cheap. Low cheap! Maybe better plans are in store for him in the road ahead. Caadi iska dhig dheh.
