At least 50 dead in Somalia after drinking from contaminated

Postby Machiavelli2 » Thu Dec 11, 2014 1:54 pm

Inaa lilaahi wa ina Illeyhii Raajicuun, Illaah SWT ha u naxariisto.

It is sad that we lack the basic knowledge to know there are decomposed septic sewage with highly bacterial activity nearby when constructing a new well and conduct basic tests on the water to ensure healthy and safe drinking water for our people. Most of us choose to become a tribal politician or a tribal analyst.

At least 50 dead in Somalia after drinking from contaminated well.

Corruption is our Achilles heel. Are we Somalis inherently corrupt and void of moral codes. I rarely come across, see, hear or read a Somali pointing a finger at his tribal cousin leader to be corrupt. Is the reason why we campaign and support our tribal brothers to hold senior posts in Somalia is to position them the looting of the public purse?

The world's most corrupt countries ranked.

Somalia and North Korea are tied as the worlds most corrupt countries, according to a survey released by Transparency International.

I know I don't post to these 'important subjects' often, but I have to post for the sake of contributing something. Seriously--in 2014 no child of Somali should die from a contaminated water. WTF?????? Clean water, should be accessible to all villages and regions of Somalia. I don't care if its Somaliland, Puntland or Mogadishu. Period.

Basra

We are still stuck to a bygone era of psychological mental jahliyah and most Somalis don't even give a fok if they ain't from their tribe, then we cry, hug and unite and show solidarity to others causes because they are Muslims. Bal caqligaa eeg.

Dervish

Thanks for taking advantage of this tragedy for qabiil point scoring, but can you please wait and meet Basra in other threads out of respect for the dead Somalis covered in this thread. Most of them are children. Thanks

Acuudu billah. The death toll is not 50, but 10. The well was newly constructed. AUN dhamaantood.

That country has no hope under the current leadership of pirates, clan rebels, terrorists and highway robbers.

Of course people will die from contaminated water when people are profiting off of IDPs. The people in power have their own tummy filling priorities.
