September- JaalleMarx
Image
New-aged traditionalist that appreciates hido iyo dhaqan but defies cultural conventions - a short and brawny araweelo capable of bench pressing him and brandishing a knife is his idea of a beauty.
LOL. You are on point. I am a social liberal with traditional somali values. It is difficult even for me to grasp how I succeed in combining the two. As long as the short and brawny Araweelo brandishes the laafyo, portrays the suuro and can sing the batar, I am fine.

If, I were to make a calender, my niece will occupy everyday of the summer. I will borrow a few lines from Shakespeare and compare her to a summer's day.

P.s. the dude in the picture appears to be angry. Is he a sidekick in a rap video?

Pps. This picture is perhaps the appropiate one to describe Jaalle Marx ( years ago  )

It doesn't seem impossible to reconcile those two attributes, we're all a bit conservative and liberal in some ways. Adeer I always learn something new from your posts. And a Midsummer Night's Dream was my favourite of Shakespeare, I can relate to Puck in some ways. I thank you humbly for the comparison/dedication. :dj: I have no clue if the chocolate man with a spherical head is from a rap video but the image connotes some deep fondness for food or a culturally-adept arawelo brandishing a laafyo. Perhaps the image of the nomad is more fitting. Then again the jovial fatman is more insulated from depression because of the protruding gut - it adds to his happiness, compare that to the in-shape nomad who looks angry about life.
