Netflix/ Shomi/ Crave

Lately I've been seeing commercial advertising for Shomi and Crave. They're sort of like Netflix. Whats the deal? Crave at the end of commercial talks says you have to call bell provider to get it and I notice when I call shaw they say something about Shomi.
Are they better and more affordable than netflix?

Fuck Netflix, you can't even watch The Sopranos on it. Just download showbox or go on watchseries. They got more shows than Netflix and they're free.

You have to have Bell or Telus subscriptions to get CraveTV. What's the point of that? Why pay $100 for TV and Internet and then pay an additional $4 for the convenience of watching it online?

can't u get basic cable and then add shomi or whatever...cuz right now my husband has the sports channels and i tend to watch everything else. Paying to much and thinking bout changing real soon.

There's no such thing as basic cable anymore; they got rid of analog. You can get Premium TV and other levels with different pricing. They'll probably limit what you can watch on CraveTV if you are paying for the cheapest package
You can get internet and Premium TV from Shaw or Telus for around $70 a month during their promotion and ask them every 6 months to extend it and then get the online subscription

Download Popcorn time and watch any serie/movie/anime you like. The only catch is, it's like a torrent client which means it' downloads whatever you're watching and seed at the same time.
So if you live in a country with strict copyright laws, like the US, stay away from it.

did you try downloading "hola"...it enables you to watch other countries netflix from you're computer. i noticed american netflix has a lot more shows and movies (and their generally newer) then canada

I don't like downloading anything because it eats up more of your data than streaming. Secondly, I fear getting spyware and viruses.
My shaw promotion is coming to an end...time to see what else is out there.
