A visit to the doctor. You need to determine what's causing the Rhinorrhea( runny nose) before you can treat it appropriately. Runny nose are caused by anything that irritates the nasal tissues. We're talking a lot of irritants from infections due common cold or the Influenza, allergies( outdoors, or even indoors dust mites?) to SINUSITIS. Is it Bacterial? rare, since most sinusitises are either from allergies or viruses. Is it ongoing ( chronic) or acute? or is even caused something other than infection like crooked septum, nasal polyps? etc etc
If it's been going for a while and not just a simple cold, you may well need antibiotics( if it's bacterial) or other interventions ( if it's viral or allergies)....Get professional opinion beyond the old wives' tales and palliative measures pushed by the herbal community. I found out the hard way just how valuable that advice is
If it's just the common cold, you can do all these remedies, stuff from the over counter and just letting whatever you've got run it's course.
Half of my family members came down with the common cold this week, let's hope my flu vaccine is gonna help fight the strain.
