A sky hole on Malaysia's air space? War ka dhaafa ku xoqidda diinta adduunyo aadan cilmi iyo aqoon u lahayn. Malaysians do have highly educated scholars both in religion and in science and don't mention crazy stuff like a sky hole above Malaysia. Ma wadaad Somali ah baa kuu sheegay? How about a UFO abduction? As Jaale Marx stated, it could be possibly be due to bad weather or a mechanical malfunction.

First, Air Malaysia is a privately owned consortium led by a Malaysian tycoon Tony Fernandes who also owns the English Premier League football team, Queens Park Rangers. Secondly, planes do have black boxes because no gps navigation systems could survive an air crash or fire on a plane of that magnitude. These black boxes contain every information including communications between the pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer and etc. in the cockpit.

One airliner was mysterious shot down in Eastern Ukraine and two have simply....vanished. Three planes from the same country in the space of 10 months. It's just too strange to be considered a mere coincidence.

At the last contact with the plane, "the pilot has requested to raise the plane's flying altitude because of bad weather".

This is what the Malaysian experts are saying.

Weather around Java Sea ‘violent’ this time of year, say experts.

As search for the missing AirAsia QZ8501 flight resumed, aviation experts warned of "violent" but manageable weather conditions around the Java Sea.

Retired pilot Datuk Jalil Mat Dom said the weather could be violent during this time of year, The Star reported today.

He said thunderstorms in the region could be quite intense and that pilots could ask for a change in their flight plans.

"The intensity is quite big and also the area of the thunderstorm is widespread. I’m not sure how widespread the storm was, but it can affect the airways, which is why the pilot asked for a deviation,” he told the English daily. It also quoted Jalil as saying that pilots would know of the weather conditions before they flew because they would had been briefed by the meteorological departments in the areas concerned. The AirAsia Indonesia flight, en route from Surabaya to Singapore yesterday morning, disappeared and has not been found. Before it went missing at 7.24am, just a little more than an hour from reaching the Changi International Airport, the pilot had asked the air traffic control 12 minutes earlier to deviate from the flight path due to bad weather. The Star also quoted a Meteorological Department spokesman, who said the Java region had been having thunderstorms and rain since 6am. He said there was no change in the weather conditions there until noon. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Associate Prof Salehuddin Muhammad said it was right for the pilot, Captain Iriyanto, to decide to deviate from the flight plan to avoid the storm. “A lot of things can happen to the aircraft (during a storm): turbulence, bouncing in and out of weather," he said, citing Air France flight 447, which crashed in 2009 killing all 228 on board after its equipment gave nonsensical readings because of obstruction from ice that formed while flying through a storm. Salehuddin told the daily that not all aircraft had the ability to climb out of storms, adding that small aircraft could ascend to certain heights and that it was up to pilots on the next course of action. – December 29, 2014.

The moral of the story is, let us not justify and connect complex issues simplistically to religion when we lack both the religious and scientific backgrounds. Haddi ay sheekada maqaaxi ama sheeko gurri ahaan lahayd waa mid kale, meeshaan qof waliba baa aqristaa, sidaa awgeed ra'yigeena ha noqda mid shaqsi ah and not mid diinta ku saleeysan.

This is what I don't understand, if I lose my Android phone, I can find it anywhere in the world and get the last position.

Samething with most new cars. So how the hell is't impossible to find $100 million plane?
Could you find it at the bottom of the Java sea?

No I wouldn't be able to find it there, but I would at least have a general idea of where to look at. I mean no Airplane should be going missing at the age of GPS.

You really don't know what you're talking about, do you?

Unless there is some sort of near real time data link from the aircraft, and I don't think there is, GPS does nothing but tell the aircraft where it is. It is not some sort of relay system that reports the location of everything with a GPS receiver to some magic control room somewhere.

Those cars equipped with OnStar receive constant signals from GPS satellite and the same goes with phones. Now its impossible to track an Iphone that was in that plane, simply because it lost contact with the GPS satellite on the ground.

The only way this going to work is set servers on cloud and consistently stream data to the cloud which is possible nowadays.

Well that's not entirely true. Because there are videos on YT where people turned on their GPS while in flight. There is also another video where someone had turned on their cellphone GPS on, and they were still getting GPS signal, but no cell phone coverage. GPS works independently of anything else.

Now, my point was, is there a way to have an on board GPS that is also connected to a control center, much like OnStar so that people on the ground know where it's at....or where last coordinates were sent from before contact was lost?

At least then you'd have a general idea of where to look for.
