There is a whole bunch of them on twitter always tweeting about how the Arabs and cadans are oppressing them black solidarity blah blah blah. They are too extreme.

I hate to disappoint you and shatter your "reality" but Somalis ARE Black, so if you love your Somali people, then in a sense you love black people.

Somalis (majority) do not identify with Blacks, and I don't think they really identify with Arabs too, but given the choice they before the Arabs. But as a matter of fact they are Africans, from the continent of Africa, their skin is light brown to very dark to almost pure black, just like other Africans.

Somali culture though is VERY close to the Arab one. Hence why there is so much confusion for Somalis.

Most Somalis are darker than West Africans, African Americans, Carribean and the blacks in South America.
