I would think so. Because it's a herbivore animal, meaning it gets its nutrients from eating plants and fruits.

A cursory search of Google has revealed that the scholars are divided on the eating of Kangaroos.
I still remember some Somalis who use to say eating Deer (Sagaaro) was Haram, which is not the case anymore.
