Generally, I don't like Arabs myself. Minus the natural exceptions, most are racist and have a holier than thou attitude towards non-Arab Muslims, not to mention the perversions, bloodthirstyness etc... The indifference is not exclusive to atheists.

The annoying trend I see though, is that many ex-Muslims seem to want such a distance between themselves and Muslims that they suddenly go on the offensive and want to promote the destruction of an entire people. Like when black people don't want to be presumed to side with Obama, they are the first to list his faults and why he's the worst president to date - TO white folks, for what...brownie points? To be told "Oh you're not like the others"?

When did it become okay to say that you are not in agreement with a religion (and therefore ascribe the behavior of a fraction to millions of people), and that they are all so corrupt and thus unworthy of living?

It's not okay for him or anyone to say that, nor to support it. That doesn't make you atheist. Doesn't atheism promote humanity and morals outside of religious structure? You supposedly don't need a god to see what's right, so why support something so evil? Where did the hypocrisy come in?

For me it differs. I don't like the Gulf Arabs at all, but I do have a good opinion on Jordanians and Syrians, as well as Algerian Muslims. I'm neutral on Egyptian Muslims. Either way, they're people and it really isn't my concern how they choose to live their own lives. I see them the same way I see Malaysians or Nepalese or Brazilians. They're just people.

My problem is with those Somalis who endlessly showcase their genocidal hatred of these people, and they often try and say "Stop following Arab religion"....as if Islam wasn't a revelation meant for all mankind, smh.

Listen, if you're sitting in a class and you have one person who is purposefully and intentionally making these charged statements, would you not be offended? I am not offended by the affront on religion, or anything like that - those come constantly and are not worth the anger anymore - but the hateful and baseless claims knowing how many thousands are dying and suffering in a situation out of their control?

If you think that's acceptable and okay to hear, then that's on you. Don't group Somalis together and say that we 'all just treat Somali atheists like shit'.

None of my gaal friends are obnoxious enough to call for violence on the innocent, so why should it be especially be okay for a Somali, who probably knows very well what's happening over there and the complexities of the issues.

Anyways, I don't need to defend the defense of the innocent.

If you guys have people around you saying aggressive things like that, gaal or Somali atheist, and it's fine with you... then what can I tell you that you don't already know. lol
