Seven year age gap between my better half and I :-) We didn't even know our age or dates of birth for a good while, there were far more interesting things in store for us

@Evol: But I mean most of his posts are like that. I have difficulty reading his posts runtii. lol

PS: Somehow I though it had to do with the device he uses to access the net (like a mobile phone) but then many people use mobiles for the forum so I think he breaks his sentences midway and starts new lines? Don't know. Let's see what he has to say. :)

this is probably a good thread to bring this up, i didn't want to start thread so my apologies just in case i'm potentially hi-jacking your thread.

i've always heard girls mature before guys, but my question is, have the tides changed? is that no longer the case and it appears that dude's are far more mature than the females now?

i say this based on couple of experiences, as of late the young women i've interacted with weren't mature or sophisticated in their thinking and seem way off, and these aren't 20 or 22 year olds. i mean in terms of age, we're talking 25, 26, 27.. i consider that fully grown women. so my question is, is this a case of unfortunate luck on my part or is this wide spread. are halimo's developing late in terms of maturity?

That's hard to say since everyone matures at different stages. It would really depend on what you are looking for in a woman as well. I have friends with similiar thoughts about men they encountered. It must be a case where the compatible folks aren't running in to each other.
I also don't think there is correlation in university education and level of maturity/sophistication in an individual. I think those are unique traits in character and personality.

SR, you're probably right in saying that it comes down to character. i was just put off by a 26 gabar who wanted to tell me about Gucci bags.. i was like

*Warning realationship thread*

So Just yesterday this exact question came up while chatting to a friend, "Does age really matter?"

A healthy relationship blossoms with communication. A partner that is understanding, loving, caring and who appreciates the little things we do. Above all compatibility is the number one priority when seeking relationship.
Sometimes that special someone we are compatible with may happen to be the love of our life's and decade apart. :?

If a person had all the qualities you were after, would the age gap really matter and what are the stereotypical problems expected to be faced by such couple especially in the somali community?

Yes. Age Gap matters. When it comes to the sex performance in the bedroom, the inept mattering' is really glaring!
