My parents made a deal with the hutus who looted our villas.

We helped give two of them access to German citizenship in exchange for our property. The deal was struck and now we have property back.

My paternal family are not from Buhodle........Xudun is our ancestral seat & we have a house there too.

PS we have also been offered land from relatives.....between Balcad and Xamar as well as Daynile. :diddy:

My hooyo is in Xamar as we speak.
One of the many plots of land we own downtown had some h/g family squatting on it.
The guy wanted $10,000 to push off......my abti's threatened to burn him out and he pleaded to have 3 months to find another squat.
Furthwe didn't even bother going to court.

My parents sponsored the chief hutu and his son in Germany and they received citizenship after a couple of years. Afterwards we got our property back. This happened in the late 90s. It's an extremely weird but true story.

Long story short everyone I have heard of who really wanted their property were able to get a hold of it or to it. My Family We Had a House We sold long time ago in Xamar Jadiid and a plot of land in Madina that We never built on as it was never a priority. However for the people who demarcate the different properties I heard it is life and death. The Guy who demarcated ours almost died and finally just went back to Europe and quit. This was a long time ago now, I'd hope its better now.

They also seized a big farm from us in Afgooye - which was part of the deal.

Cost benefit, we came out for the better.

I don't even know why people want their properties back unless they are selling it and leaving that city never to return. There are apparently some naive people who would want looted properties back only to live in them, amongst the same people that were looting and kill them yesterday. History has a habit of repeating itself. I'd personally feel safer living anywhere in the world but xamar.
