Not just in Europe, the masses in the west are bombarded with anti Islam sentiment under the guise of "extremism". It's only a matter of time before these austerity governments, increasingly squandering public resources..will offer a visible enemy, a minority foreigner to be sacrificed at the alter of public frustration.I had a plan and I was going to move as soon as .... then I found a potentially more lucrative path that would keep me here longer (maybe even settling here) lakin with Muslims set to be the next Jews of Europe and history is looking like it's going to repeat itself, I'm not sure I want to risk being in a concentration camp for any amount of money.
Do you think it's all going to die down or is this the beginning of the end for Muslims in Europe?

This is a reasonable and well thought out post. A very lucid reflection of what awaits most Somalis. There are those like me who feel strongly about wanting nothing to do with this sort of Somalia (the current situation) and don't see myself completely relocating, definitely not till I send my kids to college and probably for retirement. I value stability and I know that's what I get if I raise them here. My mother has started to visit annually but even she can't completely move back. She just doesn't feel it's the Somalia she grew up in and the people and culture changed drastically. We have been saying we will go back for many years now. Infact, I met many non-Somali friends who told me their parents have never settled properly in the West and have always yearned to move back home once their children grow up and finish their education. What eventuates is some of their parents do go back and retire in their countries of origin which is peaceful, cheaper and would be considered upper middle class with their savings and their superannuation. However, they leave behind their children and their young families who want to educate their children in the West and this forms family dislocation.
Let us be real, where will a Somali who isn't a sijui go back to? Many have tried and gave up the idea due to lack of opportunities, safety and accessing good education and medical care for them and their children. Even if we go back, one will be forced to settle in his tribal homeland and uprooted from his original settlement because of qabyaalad. If you are a Somali from Nordic countries, you have the opportunity to live multiple countries, same for those in the U.S, Canada, Australia and in New Zealand who could with ease move to another State or region if their choice. We haven't worked out why the case should be like this for quarter of a century.
Those who fled Somalia as children took the qabyaalad baton from their parents. Regardless of their educational achievements or not, they keep alive (see qolka politics aka qabyaaladda) the balkanisation of Somalia into KaboLand and DacasLand. Which Somalia are we going back to? Tahriibs see and understand the realities on the ground but still prefer to go through a dangerous journey if they could reach their destination and be accepted. All these factors and many more, dhexda xidho, fight for your Rights as a Muslim citizen because meek loo socdo ayaa jidhin.

Exactly. It's quite scaryNot just in Europe, the masses in the west are bombarded with anti Islam sentiment under the guise of "extremism". They are f**ing idiots, what would you expect?Walle this is funny. Niggas back home would give up their xiniyo to tahrib to the West idiinkana you guys are tryna tahrib back home.

You say that like the people back home don't have any social life. And unless you drink, going out on the weekend gets a bit boring and repetitive after a while.I work in the city and go out with my friends every weekend, life's good for now. Dunno what Africa has to offer me at this age.
