i got a ride the other day it was snowing as hell and i was waiting for the bus. Then a random somali dude stopped picked me up. Somalinimo

Somalinimo is beautiful. I would love to help elder Somalis, or anyone in a tough situation for that matter.

I agree Salool.....women offering rides is one thing, but I would never take a ride from a male. Ulterior motives are strong when they want to help a damsel they think is in distress.

Me and me uncle not in good terms, saw him at a bus stop one night (lol he didnt know the 107 stops at 9pm). I could've swore he saw me but i avoided eye contact and just zoomed by him really fast while humming to myself (blocking the guilt and his obvious call for help).

I remember looking back and he had this facial expressions.

On a honest note, I think I have an innocent face or something, when I offer people rides during times of need (specially young women like u and salool), no one ever sees me as harmful, infact I have great random conversations during the course. even if it's a really attractive girl, I DO NOT FLIRT NOR ASK FOR HER NUMBER.

my cousin lost his wife and new born just yesterday and i feel horrible and guilty like it was my fault. it has been tearing me apart. young guy wanted to marry, came to me for financial support so i did. literally financed his entire house and wedding (true story). after that i told him, nin ragbaa tahay reerkada dhaqo, he lived in a family home so he wasn't paying rent, water or electricity. he came to me for help few other times, helped him out but with advice of family including his dad i was told not to 'ninkan ma naagtiisa baad ubiili'..

nevertheless i sent money just a day ago before she passed after i heard about her giving birth.

now she passed while giving birth and the baby too and i feel like shit..

maybe if helped more?

she was amazing and incredible human being, may Allah have mercy on her and give her Jannah.

This lady asked me for a ride today right after work. I wasn't going to that direction and I was waiting for a co-worker. Its snowing in my state and I feel bad that I told her I wasn't going there.

wtf xaasidsanidaa you should feel bad. Apologize and insist on giving her a ride next time regardless of if she asks for it or not.
