my cousin lost his wife and new born just yesterday and i feel horrible and guilty like it was my fault. it has been tearing me apart. young guy wanted to marry, came to me for financial support so i did. literally financed his entire house and wedding (true story). after that i told him, nin ragbaa tahay reerkada dhaqo, he lived in a family home so he wasn't paying rent, water or electricity. he came to me for help few other times, helped him out but with advice of family including his dad i was told not to 'ninkan ma naagtiisa baad ubiili'..

nevertheless i sent money just a day ago before she passed after i heard about her giving birth.

now she passed while giving birth and the baby too and i feel like shit..

maybe if helped more?

she was amazing and incredible human being, may Allah have mercy on her and give her Jannah.

also.... nevermind

Amiin Ilaahey ha u naxaristo, asagana samiir iyo Iman ha ka siyo.

It's not your fault, you can only do so much, we don't stand a chance against qadar alle.

I always help fellow Somalis out, specially the elders, even if I'm rushing, I go out of my way to help them as much as I can. Helping fellow Somalis is a value my parents instilled in me and my siblings.

inalillah wa inalillahi raajicuun.. It's not your fault at all. Qof walba waqtikiisa waaye. Since she died during childbirth/ after childbirth she is considered a shaheedah. May Allah swt give you and your family sabr iyo imaan walaal. Also the person that facilitates a halal marriage by bringing two people together or contributing to the cost of the marriage will also receive blessings...ilahay khayr ha ku siiyo.
