Secondly, I don't know the reason why reer Waqooyi replace the letter R with DH. Maybe ur explanation might be right, but I doubt it. What about words that don't have the letter R? How they going to differentiate in a different meaning?

Most of the translations you guys are doing is just misinterpretation, most of th Waqooyi words are from Arabic while the southern words are pure Somali but bastardised by the southern accent.

You are right. Hilib just means meat, however jiir is a specific word to describe a certain meat (boneless meat with no baruur). So you ask for hilib jiir ah.

No saxiib, I didn't say they replaced r with dh, I said that one of the uses of using dh is the distinction it makes between homonyms, whether this was intended or unintended.

I get you. However this is unlikely, because not all homonyms words have the letter R. They don't have the capability to give distinction to all homonyms. I think their use of DH is purely based on accent.
