Murax when your house is burning its hard to help your neighbor that only has a flooded basement. Charity starts at the home. Also, few have a truly giving mindset to their determinent. They call this phenomenon pathological selflessness.

Exactly. Could not have put it any better. Collectively speaking there is absolutely zilch Somalis can offer Arab Muslim brethren as they themselves are basically in a tragic situation. Nobody is saying don't care about suffering of other Muslims, but merely Where to put Your time, money, energy in trying to fix.

The fact that we're discussing whether or not we should be apportioning what scarce human sentiment and thought remains for the Somali people to other inept and absurd platforms is unsettling to say the least. At this rate of naivety, we'd be lucky to preserve our identity for a century.

I don't see how people can get rid of qabiil? It is there and will always be there. That is like erasing your ancestors but you can get rid of qabyalaad, or at the very least curtail it. Emphasise that it is not important, that Islam is, qabiil is not the problem but the deep jaahilnimo ingrained in the people.

If the tutsi's and Hutus have reconciled to built beautiful Rwanda, then god help the Somalis if they cannot so similar.

And most definitely, one has to sort their shit out before going to another shit. Especially if you're having trouble sorting out your shit!

Ofcourse the believer is like 1 body, and for one to day I don't care what happens to any Muslims except Somalis is wrong. That said Allah many times in the Quran said "Wa Li dil Qurba" When it comes to things such as Sadaqa which means Your relatives get priority.

When it came to the Da'wah of the Rasuul SAW He started off giving Da'wah to His personal family, then to His extended family Banu Hashim, Then to all of Quraysh, Then after that to Aws, Khazraj in Madina then after that to all of Arabia, then after that the Prophet sent letters to Byzantium, Persia, etc. Does it mean that the Prophet SAW did not care if Romans, Persians accepted Islam? No. But the lesson here is You build foundations with Your family, extended family, kin, nation, nations in our case Somalis.
True, but step one is such a struggle that most new daaci tend to expedite and move onto preaching others..

Somali iskaba daa, walahi to be honest, da'wa is projected to self...at most i will impart to family...beyond this I cannot extend.

Again step one..

Yup, its the hardest and easy to overlook. But the people who truly are involved in Da'wah for the right reasons do not neglect it. The ones who do it for show obviously not.

murax, i agree with you, if you cannot take care of your self and immediate family. arabs do have tribe name as their last name and just like identity card.

but somalis not that mature.
