if ur talking about somalis that wanna act like gangstas and copy the american street culture, then yes that is also pathetic and a cause of embrassment. however, i wouldn't label that as being a "kunta kinte wannabe". kunta kinte was a muslim from gambia that survived the horrors of american slavery while keeping his faith.

if ur comment was directed at somalis who identify as BLACK, then i'd say NO, there is no embrassment in accepting the truth that we are a black people.
