In puntland security is top of the agenda. So therefore we need prisons big enough and secure enough to keep criminals out. In somaliland crime is high and criminals and nutcases roam the street because prisons are below standard and full up.

The more prisons, the better. Get the weirdos off the street and put em behind bars. That's why admire the US, they lock up their riff raffs.

Leave it to Somalis to hate on any accomplishment another Somali made. You people are poison. You would rather give credit to ajnabis than your fellow Somali. I truly pity you all.

I cant beleive what I am reading. People admiring how well a prison looks?
people prisons should look scummy, criminals don't reserve nice beds and basketball court.
They should all be sleeping on the floor with no beds.
At least that way they would learn their lesson. As long as the sentance is long enough.

Nah, Prisons should be more than a cot and 3 meals. You got to rehabilitate inmates so they can join society later and become productive members of society.

one thing i noticed they didn't talk about is the food. African prison are notorious for not providing adequate meals for their populations. and i wonder why they didn't talk about it in this short documentary.

in any case, the prisons look modern enough to me and teaching them how to be a good and contributing citizen once they leave confinement is very awesome.

kudos puntland.
