Thirdly, there is some truth about the Dr stuff, but it is not that the southerners love to brag, simply it was the Italian way. If someone gets his bachlor's degree then it is ok to call him Ditore

Fourthly, qabiil originates from the north. When I grew in Mogadisho, no one has ever asked me which tribe I belong to. Southerners brag about everything. It is not uncommon even for southern religious fellows to boast.
