Ciyaal casiir, soo gala

Postby YummyMummy » Sat Mar 14, 2015 5:49 pm

Especially if you were from the late '80s - early '90s, what do you remember?

I have so much work to do and all caawa I've been leafing through youtube in search of my childhood memories.

For me: growing up in the backdrop of other people's political struggles. The aftermath of the Kuwaiti-Iraq war, the assassination of Al-Durra and his dad, the death of Asad's father, the many Palestinian Nakbah's, the uncensored death of many women, men 7 children live on TV, the fall of Clinton, the death of Diana (I cried because she left 2 orphans), the countless intense & scandalous Latino melodramas, the X-Files (even though I hardly understood it), the Highlanders (the electricity man, we used to call it  ), the many bloody depressing Japanese cartoons & Arabic songs of the importance of parents & the consequences of losing them...

These old gems:

(despite the impossibly idealistic message, this still gives me goosebumps & tears. Plus the original artists, miss 'em)

Learnt so much  Please share what you remember too.
