You could take Asmar to mean whatever you want, but that is what one of the sahih ahadith said. But indeed the prophets' skin colour doesn't matter.

if you want the meaning of asmar the root word is samar wich means moonlight

When a person has a fair skinned they call him sunlight ashaqr

For example in syria and kurdistan they love more asmar girls, in egypt and the gulf regionn they love more fair skinned girls

The reason is because majority of them r asmar people while in kurdistan and syria they r fair skinned so they love the opposite

This is not black colour at all.
