The question is, were Somalis ever a strong-willed people?

Postby JamalAddow » Mon May 04, 2015 7:21 am

You hear people say Somalis were a strong and proud people before the war, now we've become weak and shit. But the truth is Somalis were always cowards.

From the time of Ahmed Guray rahimahullah, were he had to literally force the Marehan sultan(they were the strongest out of us northern Somalis at that time), where he basically told them you'l die if you don't follow me, and when he died we ran away.

To the time of Colonialism where 90% of Somalis didn't put up a fight against the gaalos that came to our shores, but we joined them that most of have grandfathers that had Italian and British soldiers.

So the question is were we ever this proud and strong nation, some would say yes, that we were proud and strong between 1960-1991, but the 'freedom' we got we never earned it, decolonisation was always part of the plan. Others would say Eff Somalinimo and Somaliweyn, then I say to those people, stop claiming to be proud and strong-willed, when we know if a gaal or a filthy Habesh comes to your land, you'd give up in a sec.

Then how do we become strong-willed and determined is the question.

My grandfathers immediate family fought alongside the sayid by choice.most of them were wiped out.only a few like my grandad survived.alhamdulilah.the history books write about their deeds and generation after generation knows about their deeds. I am a noble man.people like you are genetically weak and thus wallow in calacal, defeatism, shuqul naageed, etc.
