That's true LJ. I spent a few years in Switzerland (albeit the French part), and my Swiss-German classmates were always more dedicated. Even though I've never been to Japan, I hear those people work even harder.

PS: it must be said, Germany was built back up with a lot of aid from their Western counterparts, America included. But yes, they're quite dedicated.
