Why is it racist to Call a chinese guy yellow but not when you Call us black?

You have major self hating issues, you are a black man whether you prefer to call urself Somali or not. Instead of putting all this time and energy in ur somali supremacy quest, do something more productive to better the life of ur ethnic somali people.

tbh he does have a point, why don't we call all asians from the Indian subcontinent brown and all oriental folk yellow. lumping such diverse peoples under simply the label "black" is bullshit, i mean the only thing somalis have in common with AA is high amounts of melanin, not culture, religion, language, nothing.

I don't get you. On the one hand, you're a 'proud ethnic Somali' who wants to forge a separate identity for Somalis so you're naturally opposed to the social media sjw Afrocentric/pro-black Somalis. You also believe that 90% of Somalis are Salafi. You also constantly post any bit of negative news, verified or not, about Xalimos, but avoid positive topics about Xalimos like the plague. You also believe Xalimos are naturally anti-Somali and are busying with Salafism, or chasing Tyrone, or doing both ( marrying Abu Tyrone for an apple). So what exactly are you fighting for? What is left of the ethnic Somali to fight for ?
And are the Faraxs gonna procreate on their own since all the Xalimos are busy chasing anything and everything but Faraxs?

When I first read this, I was already thinking of ways too see the pro black side but then you brought up a point that utterly stopped me in my tracks!
Black is a word originated from racist white people.
When you look at it that way it makes a lot more sense on how someone can see its use by Somalis as brainwashed. But another point you have to understand is by sectioning yourself to just your own people and seeing as side vs side is very unhealthy.
There is nothing wrong with being proud of our heritage. I thank Allah everyday for my large and amazing family. But I also realize it's not enough. We all have to equip ourselves with the knowledge needed to see past tribe and color. More importantly we must understand who are true enemies are and fight the good fight

Guys, it is true that we're different from them; however, AAs produced men like Malcom X, a fellow Muslim, who has warned us how the colonialists want to treat Africans and the images they want the world to see about Africa. Somalia fell through the same traps that Malcolm has warned us 50 years ago.
Additionally, civil rights leaders like Jesse Jackson and others have long argued for Somalia and Africa in general.
Brothers, get your priorities straight. It is one thing to be a unique ethnic group in Africa, but there is another reality in America, and that reality is you can'y run away from being black!
Keep in mind I've already expressed my disdain to many AAs whom I don't want to associate with, but at the same time, I am realist and know the world that I am living in.

I am really not getting your point. Citing isolated cases is all you can. No one is disputing we're not AAs; however, if you live in America, there is a reality that you have to contend with, and that is you're black. Does it stop you from succeeding like the Nigerians as you cited? No. But you will have to live with the reality of being black when police racially profile you, stops you 3 times more than the whites; when juries who decide cases in American courts sentence young Somali males disproportionately simply because they happen to be black men; or when promotions are denied you while others are promoted over you because you happen to be black.

When a man supports women's right to equal pay for the exact same job as men, that doesn't make him a woman: it makes him a seeker and fighter for justice and equality for a disparaged group (in this case: women).

I've said it before, identifying WITH African Americans =/= identifying AS African Americans.
Besides, ii sheeg yaa noo keeney arimaha AA's to our communities? Welfare dependence, singlemother-nimada, zero ambition? Was it the youth or the adults born and bred in this "superior" culture?
