The first president of Djibouti was from Seylac, Somaliland. He saw how his country of birth ended up after merging with Somalia in the Somali republic. It's one of the reasons why he opposed the proposition of the Kacaan regime in 1977, who had already planned to annex Djibouti and install a governor from Somalia.
You really believe that? The sole reason why Djibouti exists and will never be allowed to be part of Somalia or Ethiopia is to have a Western puppet state at the Bab el Mandeb strait to protect the trillions of crude that travels between the Gulf and Europe.

Djiboutians or Somalis had no say in this.

I said it's one of the reasons why he opposed. The French expelled the Isaaq and Gudabiirsi communities in the 50's because of the Somaliwayn sentiments harbored by these clans and they made sure pro French Ciise like Aptidon, in contrast to pro Somaliweyn Ciise like Xarbi, together with the Arabs and Afar would create a powerful block that could resist a union with the Somali republic. France did not want to lose the strategic location of Djibouti.

Nonetheless, if it wasn't for this pro French block. The French wouldn't be able to stand up against the Soviet Union that lead the Somali republic in those early years. The French even assassinated Xarbi because he was seen with Soviet officers in Hargeisa and Mogadishu.

It's known that the Kacaan regime sent Aptidoon a telegram congratulating him but also reminding him the importance of "Somali unity"

China what is keeping African economies afloat and encouraging entrepreneurship with its cheap materials for businesses. The West enslave people and choke their economies and African leaders think they got a good deal because a drop in the water of the revenue the West earned through undervaluing African products, materials, tourism, land, labour and military bases/military influence is given back as 'aid'...with stipulations that they divert funds away from healthcare and education so that they can maintain control and even extort further moneny from concerned Western populations to run their charity scams.

They did not cheat! They literally turned themselves into a desert to develop their economy. They worked like slaves in factories producing goods to sell...everything in made in China, and they used the money to build their country and develop their infrastructure, schools and universities. I know a lot of people who are sending their kids to China to get educated...it's the new India, only cleaner.
