Do people in Europe's lives dictated by credit scores like here in the States?

From getting a home, store card, renting a car, getting a car and even being with a phone company is dictating by your credit score here .

I am grateful that I've managed to finally raise my credit score.

It all started right out of high school and my first day in college credit card vultures lured me to take their card. I used the amount in there and that was the beginning of effing up my credit rating...

Just few years back I ran into a friend who himself was a credit cleaner. He gave me tips and those tips have led to shooting up my score.

Almost nobody in Germany uses credit cards. SEPA is fast, free and more secure than credit cards.

It's equivalent getting shot at the spine columns...yeah kind of exaggerated but they treat you like a criminal and they lock you out of a comfortable life

just pay everything cash or not buy it! why one wants to live on loans? my God! i would loose sleep if i owe money to any one including banks and credit companies.

We wanna buy a house, waxaa la rabaa $180k ( 4 bedroom .. I know this is absurd price when some other Staters hear this).. So tell me Mr Judge how were suppose to come up wth that one time?..but when you have good credit you will be trusted to negotiate a downpayment of $20k..and hem you can carry on paying it off as quickly as possible..

Mr judge remember that we dnt get spoon fed by corrupt useless Arabs

sister seems, i am the faqr one. cause i only buy things i can afford, if i dont have i wait until i safe up. my motto is; you need it only when you can afford.

menace, Alhamdullilah, i dont need to get into riba just i wanna buy a house. we lived in rental villa until we could pay it cash.

I have never had a credit card. Its just not xalaal. If I can't afford something, I save or decide against it.

If you have bad credit in the here its because you didn't pay your bills and thats hard to achieve because they give you a long time before taking you to court or cutting off your service. Mortgages require you to come up with a big chunk of the money anyway and after that its no different to paying rent if you buy within your means, they just need to know that you've not committed fraud in the past and if you have a steady career with the income needed for the payments. The government even help some first time buyers to help with the affordable housing shortage.

i heard people cannot afford rent to go to morgage cause morgage paying in 30+ years cheaper!!

I was happy to live on very little as a teenager and I was happiest then, being an adult turns people into money machines...no living, just earning and spending without joy.
