Morsi to leave to Turkey

Turkish newspaper Takvim reported that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is seeking to save ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi from the death penalty handed down to him over the weekend.

The newspaper reported that Erdogan, with Saudi and Qatari mediation, is seeking to move Morsi from Egypt to Turkey.

According to the newspaper, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi remains silent regarding the issue, but at the same time, he wants to get rid of Morsi.

It reported that Al-Sisi met with his Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehlib and Defence Minister Sedqi Subhi to discuss the issue. Mehlib suggested sending Morsi into exile because the country would face violent protests if he were put to death.

You got to love the Turkish President. May Allah bless him.

Sisi your time will come. Dictators never get anywhere!

Morsi screwed up. He didn't play his hand well and is suffering the consequences. He should have moved more assertively and clamped down hard on the Mubarak clique. He instead focused on how women dressed, alcohol, etc.

Morsi reminds me of Qoslaye in Uganda occupied Mogadishu. They both slow, mellow and charity guys trying to be politicians. Even behind bars Morsi still laughs and picks his nose. The similarities are just too much. Qoslaye too is in his own prison (at times al Shabab prison and other times AMISOM prison such as climbing over that barbwire wall).

Whatever Morsi might have done, he doesn't deserve the death penalty. It's also in El Sisi's interest not to execute him, as that will only open the door to further senior executions, including possibly eventually his own.

Exactly my point sisi is digging his own grave. Not to mention Morsi supporters will be mad and this may even cause more chaos in Egypt.

This is a joke!

Mursi who ruled for 1 year with every one calcaling against him gets death penalty.
Mubarak who ruled the country for 30 years as a dictator gets 3 years in prison.

I am against MB group and their opportunistic ideology, but any one with a functioning brain can see
that everyone ( Media, opposition and finally the army ) were against Mursi from the very beginning
wither he made something right or wrong, TBH he was a maskiin president.

These so called massacres he is being tried for was planned and made
by those associated with the former president who where plotting for the coup.

The fact that, Mubarak today gets a short prison sentence after robbing the country for decades
and killing god knows how many, while Mursi the puppet president gets death penalty does not only shows the sheep mentality and the lack of aware in the Egyptian society, but also assert that Arabs can only be ruled by dictators.

An old Egyptian women once told me just after the coup :

"Egyptians are dogs, they don't deserve democracy"

Ever since, I didn't bother watching Egypt news anymore.

Ikhwans blew one in a lifetime chance to run the country. They were supposed to lay low and govern wisely, at least for a decade or so. Instead, they started to witch hunt the military who ran the country since its independence. How could you imprison long time president and put him in a cage when the real power lies with his folks? It is a war and ikhwans lost it this time around.
