Be proud of PL coz its building its own airport with its own money, sweat and tears unlike Mogadishu, which was first built by the Italians, expanded by Barre with taxation from every corner of the former Somali Republic and now by Turks. The locals only know how to do niiko before the x-ray machine or loot the roof.

A Chinese company has began building an airport in Bossaso town, the commercial capital of Puntland, a semi-autonomous state in northern Somalia.

Puntland President Abdiwweli Mohamed Ali Wednesday launched the project to be undertaken by China Civil Engineering and Construction Company (CCECC).

President Ali stated that the project was being funded by Italy at a cost of $10 million.

what is wrong with that? the turks will leave a fully operational high tech airport for the locals and also the port,i dont see the issue there.

Italians forking out 10 million USD for a project in Somalia

unheard of, atleast next time try harder to come up with a reliable source, don't quote some two bit journalist based in Mogadishu. The expansion of Bossaso airport started long before Gaas took office, which means it must have started long before ABDULKADIR KHALIF wrote that little article of his. Gaas only went to Italy this month, even if they are funding the project, it will most likely be partly at most.

The only reason why I posted pictures of Bossaso Airport to begin with was to shut down the hateful remarks coming from certain individuals who are known to hate on the achivements of self-sufficient Somalis. We should applaud every progress made by fellow Somalis, not ridicule it.
