You can create fake caano geel. With yogurt or butter milk and sprite. Blend it in a blender with sugar, add ice and voila. I actually love it and it tastes so good but my family call it fake caano geel. We make it on marti qaads and Ramadan. :

I haven't had caano geel since I was 6 years old. I don't think they taste the same. But my abti swears that it does. But I swear it tastes so good. You can't use regular sprite, it has to me lemon lime sprite, sugar and ice. :lawd:

I've had both that potion-like concoction and caano geel. They taste nothing alike, but to Idmans credit that bizarre drink actually tastes good. They give it out during weddings here in Toronto.
