Postby Itrah » Thu May 28, 2015 11:59 am

So I met this lovely girl on twitter after she liked my views and stuff (yea shocking there are girls who agree with me) and i met her after everything was perfect about her I mean she even got me through a rough patch and helped me financially. One problem she is 8 years older than me and has 2 kids. And no shes not somali shes a revert mixed girl

I feel so conflicted, I think I love her should I proceed the relationship or not its gettin to the point of marriage but i dont wanna be that guy who depends on his woman loool
Dude, don't marry that kind of woman. Get a nice Somali girl instead.

Wtf, why settle for some half Jareer chick with two kids?

Also, like Xamud mentioned the fact that she is giving you money will undoubtedly cause problems down the road. Women think men are threatended by a women who earns more than us or a women more educated than us. Well-adjusted confident men wouldnt have a problem with marrying women more successful than they are if it wasn't for the fact that the women themselves have a problem it, even if they don't say so in the beginning. She will end up resenting the man for earning less and not having a masters from so and so university if she has one.

Do whatever makes you happy. Just don't be impulsive and ask yourself can you really see yourself with this woman in 20 years time.

And see if your parents are first okay with this relationship
Everyone is different, so this is the best advice. I know personally I couldn't marry a woman older than me. And yes, make sure it won't create problems with ur parents.
I could marry a woman older than me, as long as she's only a couple of years older than I am.

This is the only advice that can be given, since GrandpaKhalif is a complete stranger and we can't actually judge the situation for ourselves.

I'd prefer it if he met a nice Somali lady instead.

Evol, you know what I like about you? You're a realist. And people like you have a better chance at successful relationsips and better navigating life in general, because they don't live in denial or engage in rationalizations and mental gymnastics like the majority of people who choose to live in willful ignorance.

I appreciate that, thank you. Most would call me an Idealist, but that's fine as well. It is good to be idealistic about certain things, because it enables you strive for its best outcome, but you also just can't daydream your way through certain other situations/topics.

Your view on a lot of issues is refreshing, so thank you for an opinion on the fairer sex that is analytical and refrains from the usual misogynistic insults.

But really tho, you as a man has to bring something to the table. You can't have less money or less education than these western girls. You can't be weak either. You can't be anything thats ammo to them in an arguement. Because, just like the sky is blue, married couples argue. (no ryhme intended)

It's not about marrying a man who makes more than us so we can buy more purses.

If I worked hard to get where I am, wtf were you doing? How can a woman (who already faces issues like wage ceilings, disporportionate promoting and other workplace issues) earn more than a guy who is suppose to be working hard for himself and a future family? That's where the ammo comes in. I pray with Allah's guidance I never become so sour-tongued with my gacaliye, but those things could really get in a woman's head.

I know. I never meant that

I actually wrote that last line after it never let me post, because you two posted again.

I just ain't a faarax. Never would class myself as one.

I'm a new generation hargeisaawi. I shall transform hargeisa or die of stress trying. GOALS!

Out with the old terms like faarax, which makes you think of old men. Or southerners. I shall think of a new name.
