Berbera(malao,the people of malawax,cousins of kemet(kimis)Egypt)were the first somalids.in the ancient languages,bar bars has three possible etymological origins:
1.bar,meaning the place where man grew or the place where the first Somalid was born.till this day the word "barbaar" is used to denote where one grew up.somali territory was referred to as bilaad al barbaar(Berbers)
2.barbara(learn and learn)yacni,meeshii cilmigu ka soo aftacmay(sprang forth)
3.barbaric(since these people defended the ocean and were never conquered,the ancient pirates(mutadawacin al bilaad)were feared and given the name berbers(the people who came from Berbers).this later spawned other names like the "barbary coast".
