Why is it a taboo to talk about intercourse? How come youths are not taught anything about sex?

Why do they call it such an ugly word? The 2 words for sex in afsomali is so ugly.

Its actually not taboo, they just don't like to discuss it in detail, but Somalis joke about sex all the time, when I was back home people would always make sexual jokes, not a day went by without someone cracking a saqajan\sexual joke, of course most of it was oblique\sarbeeb, Somalis speak in codes and hide behind big words, it took me awhile to understand it but when I finally did I would crack up as soon as I got the gist of the joke,

sex education is important and time proved that in muslim societies. sexual frustration and sexual crimes wouldnt be wide spreaded. i dont believe correct islamic gender segregation anything to do with homosexuality, infidelity and incest sex. but luck of educating kids and young people about correct way to deal with their sexual frustration islamicly.

sex is energy and needs to guide it to the right and safe way to relief.

Because its taboo to openly talk about sex in Somali culture. It's also taboo to show public displays of affection. So making out with your wife in front of your mother is very direspectful and should never be done.

we need to direct kids to minimaze as much as we can later on in their life, sexual misuse such zina, infidality , incest sex ... etc.
