This will be the first in a series of posts entitled "Hard Truths". We, as country(Somalia) and as a global religious community(Ummada Muslinka), have been crippled by our refusal to face hard truths and our soothing reliance on ignorance, superstition, dogma, and fairy-tales has made us, without question, the shithole of Planet Earth. As the saying goes, Ignorance is Bliss. Why face the hard truth of inescapable poverty, starvation, and famine when you can spin tales of "batrool baa Soomalia laga heleyay, wacad'alle" and "yuuranium'ka adoonka baa dhulkeena ku duugan, aahaay"? Why face the hard truth of pervasive religious intolerance in every single Muslim society, down to the local community & family level, which in turn directly leads to global bloodletting on a historical scale, when you can just denounce anybody who doesn't believe whatever shit you believe in as a "murtad, kaafir, innovator, hizbee".

The difference between us and the West, is that in the West, conspiracy-theorists and religious-literalists are viewed with rightful derision and are the butt of every joke. In stark contrast, we ennoble and exalt our conspiracy theorists and religious-literalists. Because they are us. And we are them. Because we would rather blame our wretched existence and our ever-present failures and defeats, no no no, not on ourselves, never that, but on Ze Germans, and Ze Yahood, and Ze Faqash and Ze Jinni. Without a hint of irony, some of us(udun, haye duqa) will say: "Wacad'Alle, Yahuud lacnad baa saaran", as they lead the world in various high-tech fields and revolutionize entire industries. China and India, 5000 year old civilizations, have to beg tiny little Israel for their tech needs. But all that doesn't matter, because as, Udun/Kaafie/Granpa/AbuukarSubeer all know very well, "yahooda wa lacnad baa saraan, jahanama'ba sugaysa, aahay, waa caynkaa ina adeer. And so, as we yearn for the return of a non-existent mythical glorious past(the Caliphate, which never existed but that's another story), as we dream and pray for the End-Times(Aakhiro Zamaan waa sanadka soo socdo, aahaay), the rest of the world continues it's marvelous march into modernity, leaving us stuck in the mud and muck of religious dogma, sectarian division & bloodshed, and conspiracy-theorizing.

Hadaba, as Jid-Toosiye's, as Correctifiers of the Errant Path, as a Reformers of the Grand Reformation, it has fallen to us band of brothers, led by men like Tariq Ramadan, Adnan Ibrahim, and Leftist Jid-Toosiye to enact and foster a radical paradigm-shift in the way we understand, interpret, and implement Islam, as well as the way we practice our dhaqan/culture.

But before the Reformation can plant itself in the hearts and minds of those who need it the most, the masaakin masses suffering from centuries of shitty dogma and even shittier governance, before the Reformation can take root in our collective wadno & caqli, there first has to be a willingness, a readiness to face painful reality as it is, not as we want it to be; to accept hard-truths and deal with it using ice-cold reason and passion-free logic, not what some Mother-Hubbard who lived in the 10th century said or did.

And so here we are, on the eve of Ramadan, a test of sorts: are we willing to accept Hard Truths? Let us find out. For if Golaha Barakaysan ee SomaliNet is unwilling(or unable) to accept hard truths, then there is very little hope for the masaakin toiling masses who are deluded and misguided by corrupt men-of-the-cloth and the tyrants(religous or secular) that govern them.

I will give you the absolute best case scenario you could possibly hope/wish/pray/dream(isn't that all you do?) for. And then, I will take you by the hand, and show you, that even in this wildly unrealistic best-case-scenario, the Jewish State of Israel #staywinning.

Fantasy best-case-scenario: Sometime over the next century, the long-awaited The Mahdi makes his appearance. In short order, he's able to unite the warring, bickering, Muslim masses into one Super-Caliphate where his authority is Supreme. He then marshals all of the natural resources of the Muslim world, and under his guidance, the Caliphate becomes the world's leading economic and military power. The nations of the world race to pay tribute to him and to benefit from Muslim tech know-how and resources.

We good, we cool? Isn't this fantasy what your shuyookh be telling you? For argument's sake, I'm just giving you the fantasy-khuraafat you believe in. For argument's sake, I'm accepting it as reality, just to show you, that even with that fantasy-based, best-case-scenario, you're/we're still a failure.

Now, we come to the paramount matter of Al-Quds/Jeresualam, which before the Rise of the Caliphate, is recognized by the rest of the world as Israel's eternal capital.

So, just like Umar bin Khattab, came to Jerusalem himself to accept it's surrender; The Mahdi travels to Jerusalem for the same purpose, but unfortunately, not the same outcome.

Even in this fantasy best case scenario, even with the entire Muslim world united, even with all that, Israel still stay winning, still stay thriving. Why? How? Palestinians have 3 choices, axlaa'hum mur:

- Be subsumed into Jordan, Egypt and Syria.
- become citizens of Israel
- some form of weak, watered down autonomous self rule, you know, the same way PG County has local autonomy over it's school-board(not even, i think), but is governed by the State of Maryland, which in turn is governed by the Federal Goverment. So yeah, Palestine will basically be PG County.

Didn't have to be this way, but it sho' 'nuff is reality. And boy does reality BITE, and boy is it's bite painfully harsh. The weakness, stupidity, and irrationality, of the previous generations of the Muslim world and the Arab world, centuries upon centuries of fake-ass tradition and calcified 'madh'habs'(all madhabs allow slavery to this very day), is what led to this painful present-day reality, and the even more painful reality to come. Israel ensured it's eternal survival and growth the very minute it made it's 1st nuclear device; up until that moment, it could've been defeated. With respect to Israel being technologically advanced, why do they then need American economy and military aid every year if they are highly advanced? What about the German war reparations that continued from 1945 till today? I am not sure how this guy can overlook Turkey who is same par technologically with Israel, if not even more advanced, than his darling Israel? Israel's GDP is $291 billion whereas Turkey is $822 billion USD.
