What aspects of the gaalo lifestyle? If anything younger Muslims are becoming more conservative from my own observations.

That's what I've noticed as well. A small segment of Somalis (Diriye Osman, Abdi-Johnson, etc.) have become extremely liberal, but the majority of Muslims--including Somalis--have become more far conservative since the 1970's. And now that the population of Muslims in the US/Europe reaches a sizeable number, it creates a feedback mechanism where Muslims associate with, do business with, and live in communities with each other. We already are starting to have many Islamic schools popping up, butcher shops, barbershops, mosques, libraries, and community projects. So you even have Muslim youth growing up in the West who are far more religious/conservative than their parents were. It's a beautiful sight to see.

What Gaalo lifestyles??? Somalis hate Gaalos, and just mix with themselves. The ones who have taken the "Gaalo" lifestyle are alcohol consuming Somalis who live outside Somali society. (mostly from Isaaq groups)

I say---Thank God for Diin in Somalis, we wont be seeing any femininity in Somali men. I am glad Somalis are homophobic and ignorant, and uncivilized. Please continue to be like that, u have dignity in that mentality. I would faint if half of Somali men become feminine and gays and start holding hands with negroes. I will check myself an crazy asylum house and read my jane austen everyday, never stepping out even once. :(

I've only been seeing a rise in these soft men that like to call themselves "nice guys". These are guys from all racial backgrounds, but I've seen alot of somali men who share these personal characteristics with those men, and it pisses me off. They invest way too much of their time on other people, in the hopes that they'll finally feel "accepted and loved" if they do nice things for people. This is a dishonest way of living, and you should only do things if you want to do them and not have any ill intentions behind your actions.

Hopefully these guys will get it together.
