Gay marriages are legal here and seen as something acceptable but polygamy is seen as unacceptable and illegal.

Wallahi it's hypocrisy at its finest. They would say polygamy is backwards but Homosexuality is okay lol weird thing is a lot of Muslims agree with this.Don't try to make sense of it. It's the hypocrisy of western liberalism. Unaware of its own assumptions.

This ban against polygamous marriages devastated the Somali Bantu community. When the Christian charities brought them over they forcibly broke up their families and refused to settle them together telling them polygamy is wrong and unlawful. As a result they created many single mothers which they then went on to house in different states. Truly sad. If there is anything i know about the bantu community is the men look after their wives & children unlike the other Somalis. The ban makes no sense especially considering there is no limit on how many women a man can date at the same time.

They didn't tell us to come here. We came here on our own. We know this was a laga roone countries from the Get Go. So we either back to Africa or watch this Azz-Holes Fagg each other.

The polygamy in the US was originally setup to stop the Mormons from practicing it; that is my understanding. Additionally, even tough it is the law in the land, in Utah, this rule is hardly enforced, at least, by the local law enforcement agencies. You're out of luck if feds come after you though.
To go back to the topic, the West is run by people who promote homosexuality and other forms of indecency. It is the same system that we have been warned to stay clear. Complaints from Muslims or Mormons will not change any thing. The forces who run the West are the ones who are behind the homosexual agenda. Not only in the West, but they are imposing this agenda on the rest of the world.

Despite the fact that I have no issue with polygamy, the slippery slope does not apply.
In relation to same sex marriage, marriage is a contract between two people. The issue was that it was restricting the contract based on sexual orientation and gender. Same-sex marriage does not alter the contract. a samesex marriage is contractually the same as an opposite sex marriage. It is the gender and sexual orientation of the people that is different, nothing more
I'll bet that when the first case fighting for polygamy reaches the US courts, the plaintiffs will be quoting the bible and basing their case on religious freedom. Actually, it's already been tried in Canada and struck down. I'm not sure if this has already been attempted in the US, perhaps it has
It's hilarious to me that the same ones opposing same sex marriage based on biblical principles are putting forth the slippery-slope argument about polygamy, when the argument for polygamy can also be argued based on biblical principle

The homosexual "marriage" does not equal to traditional marriage between man and a woman. There is more to it than a just contract between two people. There is a spiritual commitment between the couples in traditional marriages, which is completely missing from the homosexual ones. Second, the traditional marriage is critical to human survival, whereas the homosexual "marriage" will never produce children. If you deeply look at it, the contractual argument is overblown and is a cover to deny the existence of GOD in a marriage. Another thing that is suppressed by the establishment that promotes homosexual agenda is, research after research has shown that homosexuals commit pedophilia overwhelmingly at least 3 to 1 in contrast to heterosexuals. And since homosexual population numbers are much smaller than that of heterosexuals, their targeting of innocent underage boys makes their crimes staggering.
Unfortunately, it has now coverage in courts as they will adopt children, commit heinous crimes against these children - including exposing them to their acts and raising them as homosexuals - and will be defended in the courts by judges and lawyers who are homosexuals themselves, since they have the law on their side. Add to that the public school system which is run by them where the homosexual agenda is thought as part of the curriculum, and TV shows which promotes their filth to unsuspecting young children, and what you have is an intrusive homosexual agenda that is forced thru the throats of normal people. Unbelievable!
