It means 'Pharmacy'...hence the 'Mango sut la vana'...Daawo Bhaan Dire/Daawo ayaan Direy...OK Somalis?

It is NOT Dire Dawa but DIRIRDHABA: Dirir means autumn as in the four seasons in afsoomaali and Dhaba means protect as in " waar dadkan iska Dhaba!". So Dirirdhaba roughly translated means the place that protects against the autumn elements.
This city is my love and my separation from it INSHAA ALLAH will end soon.

Lol both of you are wrong...Dir Dhaba/Dire Dawa= the Limits of the Dir :)......Waa halkaan axmarada kaga soo hadhnay back in the days......as much as the Tana River was the limit of the expansion of the Somalis in that part of the country. So, get back to the library ya all! Peace
