"She loves scents (she has a nose for good scents) . She has the uunsi by her side if need arises"

Lama

Care to tell me WHY Somali men find uunsi very appealing? I mean, I can understand the women liking it. It has feminine mystique and power in masking all kinds of smells, feminine smell included. But why do men treat this thing as an aphrodisiac? I mean, is it souly from habit and all women in their lives liking it, starting with their mothers, or there is a potent use for it for men? I don't get it.

High highness, the uunsi has this distinct irresistible seductive smell. It is like an opium to the pituitary gland/ hypophysis. A kind of aphrodisiac rush is experienced by men since the UUNSI has the capability to expunge all other kinds of odour in the milieu . It is the potent scent/odour and overshadows all other kinds of scents/odours.

BTW: The uunsi is one of the reasons why ancient Egypt extended its sphere of rule to Somalia. I have been told by an Egyptologist that one of the pharaohs was a somali and his reign was the reign of the scent

Whatever u say dear. I still find it odd. I guess, it is associated with sex, its masks for horny and sexual endorphins running rapid in the air that would have otherwise overwhelmed the couple--and render quick ejaculation and orgasm. Uunsi serves as a delayed gratification to senses and makes them drunk of the environment smell more than the person in action!

You have to be a man to get that feeling of :lawd: A kind of horny/endorphins signals are sent to the male down under. In fact, it could be secret of ugly women to lure men. When there is uunsi in the air, common sense goes out of the window.

The use of uunsi enables ugliness (spitefulness in this case) to be turned into exquisiteness. It is the aphrodisiac drug .

Basra, I am not afraid to admit that the combination of the UUNSI+ guntino + laafyo + the visible kub, is enough to blind me of common sense. It is hypnotising. I get into a temporal insanity. And when I recover, it is often too late. The damage to my reputation as the hunter of rare caviar has already undergone colossal damage. LOL

Idman I think it would be a boring trip to the nail salon for both of you, because you engage nonesense talk and tribal bashing. Whereas Sophi engages in meaningful discussions that are factual and polite. So I don't see you too sitting somewhere together longer 3 mins.

Dear sophi

How long has it been now? 4 years, 5? Oh god wtf was I doing in slife all those years, but anyways mamacita, you're the coolest, most down to earth person I've ever came across online. I enjoy reading your posts, I miss your topics, it was stimulating to my mind. I like the fact that you're nonjudgmental. I'm not good at with words when it comes to others, lord knows I can talk about myself for hours and hours. Wait is that being self centered? Anyways one day I want to have timbits and Starbucks with you, I hate tim horton coffee, get our nails done.

I dedicate this topic to you my dear, I hope you're having a wonderful Ramadan. May Allah swt accepts your fast and ours. :rose: :rose:

Idman thank you so much for that thoughtful dedication. It means a lot to me. It's the best one so far. I believe it's been 2 years since Slife officially went out of commission, it feels like forever though. No; talking about yourself isn't being self-centered, you're just speaking from personal experience. It makes your posts relatable, so thanks for sharing and providing much needed insight and entertainment on snet, it would be dull without it. You’re also very loyal and trusted. Those are impeccable qualities that aren’t as widespread as you think. Ignore saac, he's just bummed you didn't pay him any mind. I almost forgot, I intend to take you up on that offer when you swing by Toronto Insha'Allah.

Kafiye, Lamagoodle and RoobleAlWaliid thank you guys too. . :rose: :rose: :rose:

As Idman said, I am also not that good with complimentary words but I will do better and post this befitting poem for my lovely, intelligent cuzin which the imminent Bashir Goth has dedicated to Borama/Awdalite girls.
She might have been born in Canada and not Borama but it's still composed for and directed at such a rare Diamond like her.

Dagmo Inanta Borama , ee Aloog dusheediyo,
Agagaarka Saw iyo, Awdal Xeebehediyo
Abbasiyo Libaaxlay, iyo Eelo Uda iyo
Qadaw oodihiisiyo beel adhigu daaqiyo
Tagal illimihiisiyo, illihii dhexdoodiyo
Idhankii Dillaad iyo, afka Gaawe lagu dhalay
Waa Ubad xalaalo, biyo aqal samaaliyo
Waalid aad u wacanuyo, dhaqankii udgoona ka abuurmay weeyan
Waa gabad asluub iyo ixtiraamka guud iyo il nugayl haweeniyo
Anshax iyo is wada dhawr ababkeedu uu yahay
Go'e inantu waa inan, ubad weeye hawl fudud
waa gabadh ilkaha qoran, Axdigii ay qaadiyo
Waa naag ammaanadu, sanka oogadiisiyo Kaga taalo meel adag
Gabadh aan schoolka iyo ,aqalkiyo ardaagiyo
Hoyyadeed agteediyo, ka fogaan ardaagoo,Ibtiloonin weeyoo
Jacaylkeedu waa udub, marka lagu abuuraa
Af Soomaligediyo, sheekadedu wa Edeb, wa erayo goo go'an ( How very true ) ahhahaha
Naxariis ilakaha taal, aado iyo huuniyo Waa hadallo uurka ah
waa dareen abyooloo wa xidid arooro
Abtirsii ma deediyo dhaqankeedu uud yahay

Thank you so much cuz, you’re awesome. I was actually born in the US though, close enough. However, Awdal is the ancestral land. :blessed:.
If I could I'd make countless clones of Sophisticate and marry each of them off to Faaraxs just to improve the average IQ of Somalis within a generation.
Even though I know it was a hyperbole. I have to say, IQ is a subjective measurement with a particular cultural context in mind. And Somalis are actually quite intelligent. Many of them have great diction (when they aren’t imitating a bootleg version of patois and ebonics). That’s an entirely different topic. And I’ve been lucky enough to meet plenty of bright ones. Somalis also have great spatial intelligence too. God knows what they are capable of when the lackadaisical ones actually apply themselves. Also, who would donate their gametes? Plus, hypothetically these clones would have to grow up under the same conditions/ and have similar experiences and that's highly improbable. :D Thanks for the comment bro.
I remember the welcome pm i sent soph when she first joined, her dp was a ancient masjid in ruin at zeila :D

Ameen @idman's dua
Even I don't remember my avatar. :o Thanks ZA, I salute you.

Yeah, Sophisticate is great and very valuable for this forum despite our very minor skirmishes in the past. :)

Amen to Idman's dua.

I see a positive thread about any SNETTER, and I will be first to join it.
