It was a breath of fresh air reading an eloquent article written by a fellow somalinet member who had the misfortune of falling to mental health disorder. But at least this member knows the issue and is trying to deal as best or worst they can. We have other who does suffer mildly or even more aggravated however do not deal with by taking medication or contacting directly their doctors.
Although it is a fact Somalis have the highest mental health issue and in consequence a sizable somalinet member suffer it we have these childlike mental or even ignorant mod who try to suppress it as soon as one of us break down or try to share their illness with us!
First to learn from them and secondly to have fellow Somalis to pour their sorrow to it. These Somalis leave and goes into the underworld of the internet where they put their lives in danger, at least even if anything happen within somalinet we have a Somali way to address it (families/friends). But the internet is where people get murdered and rapped!
My point can the somalinet owner stop chasing away those of us who suffer from mental illness!
Secondly the one fact I have learned that trigger the irreversible mental illness among Somalis is the lack of sleep! Once a Somali suffer an insomniac episode due to extreme (partying/weed/drogues/alcohol/khat or others) then that person enter the one way system of mental illness for ever!
Finally: once a person does suffer from mental illness the book in heaven were all the ajar/dambi (good and bad) is written is closed ! So whether they leave islam, piss at the mosque or even curse the prophet and Allah it is not relevant at all! They are muslim and fellow brother/sister in islam and somalinimo!

Somalia has one of the highest rates of mental illness in the world and with a healthcare system devastated by years of war, most sufferers receive no medical help. Many are chained up - to trees or at home. Some are even locked in cages with hyenas. But one man is trying to change all that.
