Am only stating facts. You rely on DNA test and I on the reality on the ground. Nothing to do with insecurity. Am more than comfortable in my skin, my clan, my faith my Soomalinimo.

What can DNA prove? What possible benefit can it bring the Dir people in their dire situation? What will it add to your Deen and Iimaan? What comfort will it serve you in trial of the grave?

You are a qabilist but a courteous and polite one.

Saaxib why do you follow me around every time I make a relevant comment on DNA? You can't force me to stop discussing what I consider pertinent to a particular debate.

Are you thick or something? How many times have I told you that I have an anthropological interest in DNA and seek to discover the validity of clan lineages, particularly mine. So please do me favour and put me on your ignore list as you are clearly troubled by some truths I have raised.

Lastly, you allude to the 'dire' situation of Dir. Nigga please, next time you are Galbeed or Djibouti, please pass my greeting to my flourishing kin. I am Reer Mudug and I assure you, my kin are preoccupied with herding their camels and are not involved in any conflict. So stop using using the Hiiraan conflict where as things stand, we are in our Deegans and have had the upper hand in the latest round of battles to try and score cheap points.

Cuqdada ka qaabtid DNA Illahi ha ka daaweyo.
It's just something about the way you discuss DNA combined with qabiil fadhi ku dirir with other members that led me to the conclusion that maybe you overcompensating. But I could be wrong.

I say it the way I see it and would admit if am wrong.

I don't get worked up when Itrah discuss it or other members but brother.....there is something about you that rubs me the wrong way.

You don't t result to petty insult and are a level headed guy and for that raali noqo sxb.

But I do believe you are a courteous and polite qabilist

Darod calling habar awal langaab I'd.perhaps the funniest thing I ever seen. Sacad muse alone is wealthier and more influential then darod as a whole. At the end of the day I think darod is possibly the.second laangaab people in somali peninsula after somali bantu because there people are starving they.have to eat. Hyena, they live.in dadaab refugee camp and they are being abused by xabashi

Let me set the record straight.

Firstly, I am a Qabilist and my clan identity comes before any Somali identity. In my opinion, the only worldly ties that are grounded in truth are blood based; not speaking a common language or sharing a common culture. Anyone can adopt a language or a culture and also be considered a member of an ethnic group through intermarriage or assimilation. However, what I find unique about our patrilineal clan system is that an entire clan could descend from a common ancestor and that DNA ancestry testing can shed light on that. My passion stems from a desire to determine what genetic relationship exists between members of my clan.

I was actually spurred on to do the test after I read an Ethiopian study that tested a lot of Dire Dawa Somalis and sought to see if there is any truth to my Qabil identity. It ain't about numbers at all, on the contrary, I believe those clans that are proved to contain sheegads should be highlighted so as to illustrate how false that Qabil identity is for some of its members. Like I have said before, if most Surres were E-V32, I would accept that my ancestor was a sheegad and would renounce my Qabil identity. It ain't the end of the world as what always comes first is my Muslim identity.

That being said, I do not seek to insult other Qabils in pursuit of the truth nor am I the type of Qabilist that defends his Tol blindly. I am only found in clan threads when my clan are being misrepresented or the conflicts that take place in the South are being falsely reported. So please be level headed and factual when assessing my character or throwing criticisms my way.

I think the glaring contradiction in your post above reinforce my initial thought and reading to your approach, attitude and unhealthy obsession to DNA testing and dissecting qabiilada soomaalida.

First you say that your first identity is that of your clan and and only those with blood ties should count. Then you go on to state that if your DNA says different, you will denounce your clan name. Raw emotion! And its only, if and when your DNA proves otherwise that your first Identity will be Muslim.

From all the members that took the test, you are the only who considered what should be done if your DNA proved different. Seriously?

Not disrespect intended and am only going by what you say.

Anyway, I will never interfere in your DNA discussion in the future

With all due respect, you didn't read my post analytically. At the start of it I clearly stated that 'worldly' ties that matter so as to differentiate it from the bigger picture (Muslim Identity). Do you think I am an imbecile to put Qabil before Deen?

Furthermore, my post was also a clarification of my stance on what constitutes a genuine Qabil identity.

I happily agree with you that I am guilty of seeking tangible proof of my supposed lineage and not subscribing to an untested belief. That is not taking things too far but being methodical.
