Information needed about the "Harogle' clan!

Salam,

Quick intro:
The Somali part of my family has told be me that I am from the Harogle clan. I have yet to find any useful information anywhere online about the clan, other than my family saying its a sub-clan of Darod. My Somali family are from Gaalkacyo and the Ogaden area and also from several places in the Somali region of Ethiopia.

Can anyone enlighten me on this specific clan and its history, size, influence and maybe some lineage information?

Well, my cousin wrote me a mail where he stated the clan to be called "Xarogle", "Harogle" or "Horogle". It might be a subclan of a subclan, and my father told me it was a Darod sub-clan primarily situated in the Mudug area and in the Somali region of Ethiopia. Other than that, I have no clue.

I don't think it's Harla Koombe, unless Harogle has a different name?

I've met a guy years ago who knew this clan/sub-clan but at that time I was quite careless of my tribal 'heritage' so I forgot. Anyways, thank you!

i know "harogle "clan they live majority in mudug and i have the pleasure of meeting them when i was in galkacayo in 2009 and infact they are sub sub sub clan of leelkase especially they are the juufo that especialize in "Harag=dead skin meat" collection which are used for sleeping by the lower classes in galkacyo.since leelkase is basically a collection of lowerclass laangaab who work their daily bread by slaughtering animals they are known in mudug circles and their small leelkase clan is divided into branches that have specific tasks when it comes to animal handling.

Mind you, I'm simply trying to gather information of my supposed clan to learn more of my background.

that is the only legit infor i have of this mysterious subclan and i have collected this info when i was in galkacyo back 2009.this is not a clan bashing but the reality on the ground there is nothing to hide .

If you are sincere I will believe you, but none of my family that I know of back in Somalia, works/worked with animal slaughtering or fit into this description of "lowerclass laangaab". Most of them are highly educated and some have been in the Somali government in the 80's and 90's.

Arrivederci seems like a bitter Somali raped by Italians. He's just trying to increase his self-worth. If what you said is true and they held positions in the former Somali government and are educated. Then it must be correct that they are a sub-clan of Leelkase , because the Leelkase are noble and held many spots in the former government. Leelkase have many scholars and visionaries.

You see what i said was correct and remains correct because i have personal knowledge and if you dont believe me go to any leelkase village and what do most of the men do..slaughtering animals and since your somali seems low harogle is self explanatory harag is the skin of the dead animal which are used for various methods and i believe all i have said was true after all.
