I love normal locals. The Daqan aan dhoofin are eyesores, almost as bad as the Diana chicks with drawn on brows and too much perfume.

Do they think that's how we roll lol...

Only diaspora or people from aboard care about beaches for local folks the beaches are played out.

People move to hargeysa because it's the capital of somaliland the biggest city they dont want to stay in there towns same way southerners move to xamar.
That's the problem. Fish and the sea can feed more people than whatever else they doing...Call me a hater but livestock is played out. And we lack a lot of arable farm land. The coast can provide a lot for out people...And Xamar is a coastal city that lives of the sea.

When I was in Hargeysa , everybody knew who I was . Well , let me explain not that there is anything special about me , what I mean is the number of Isaaq non locals was so small almost non existent besides the yaakhis . A couple of weeks before I left the country I followed for half a mile { to make sure I wasn't day dreaming } so surprised I was , 2 little girls about 9 and 10 wearing hijabs speaking in a canadian english . I was a little qaadiro , I couldn't believe it  , times have changed I guess, they've grown to cuss us out on the internet now like this evoylsalwa or somethin '

Nobody care about the coast because hargeysa is cooler and has milder temperature than any city on the coast and the business is booming there.

The fishing sector can be improved in the coastal towns but that doesn't mean we should move the capital back to berbera.

People are babies..Aden is right across the sea. Djb city is also close by. And Jeddah and more. Plenty of cities boom on the red sea where its hot in the summer.

Point is, the best cities in the world are on the banks of a river or on the coast. Water is the crux of life.

Trust me, many cities in SL have a better chance are booming than Hargeisa...If you could make the hargeisa river run all yea and the togdheer, the togdheer would be better and burco still better.

I'm from hargiesa, born there, my father born there, majority of my fam are from there. I love hargeisa, but I'm real.

I wouldn't let hargeisa grow any more and divert the people to the other cities and let them all grow. Hargeisa cannot supply water to the whole city and its still growing. That is crazy.

Otherbrother,

HRG to LA is an 7 to 8 hour drive. Its not so bad, we usually rest up in Burco which is halfway there lol

We need domestic flights tho, every regional capital has an airport/airstrip.
